Kurt was a high spirited child who grew into an easy going
compassionate heart. Whatever Kurt did in life he did with
everything in him. He dreamed big dreams, a disc golf park
being his latest. I am still trying to finish that dream and
dedicate it to him. He grasped life with enthusiam
--even when things went wrong, Kurt would bounce back.
He never let anything get him down
because he knew that if there was a will, there was a way.
He always fought for what he believed
and was the first person to help someone in need, friend
or stranger. I was told that he was standing in line at a restaurant
and saw a young girl crying at a table by herself and went
over and comforted her. By the time they left,
she was smiling
again.. That was Kurt. Kurt would make friends
wherever he went. I'm very proud of my son and
truly blessed to have
had him for 24 years. He loved with everything in
him and never said the word hate. He taught me
 so much in his
short life and in his death. He is missed by
all he touched.
I love you son, sleep with angels
until I arrive.

It's been over 4 years since my angel went home and I'm still not sure how to go on without him.. I have one other son, Ian who I love with all my heart and soul, but part of me is gone now and will never return. I pray every day for guidance through this horrible time and I know HE is with me always. If it wasn't for my love for God and Jesus, I'm not sure where I would be today. Thank you Jesus for giving me two beautiful angels.

Kurt was the second son of a second son of a second son and he loved that although he considered himself the black sheep of the family. Kurt was different in a great way. He was kind, loving, caring, compassionate, loved all humans, always found the good in people. He taught me so much in his short life and I thank him for that. I am proud of my son for so many reasons. He was a marine and loved it. He fell in love with a great girl and they were going to get married, buy a house and have tons of kids for me to play with. Kurt has one brother  and no sisters. Kurt and his brother shared a lot growing up. Ian was born on November 15, 1977 and Kurt was born on November 16, 1979. Kurt has the most awesome blue eyes I have ever seen and he was an organ donor so I know someone has those special eyes.

Kurt's life was ended in an auto accident. He died instantly. He never knew what hit him, but I do and live with it every day.  My heart is broken, my soul aches for him, and I know one day we will be reunited. Until then I do what I can to keep his memory alive.
